Buildix
It’s been a while since I thought of this idea :
A linux distro, which installs Subversion, Java, CruiseControl, Ant Maven and some sort of Wiki.
The guys at ThoughtWorks did it, it’s named buildix.
It includes CruiseControl and Trac (I suppose there is at least ant also, since CruiseControl needs a jre (so java is included)). Trac is a tool combining a Wiki, a custom bug tracker and a subversion server.
I do not like Trac that much, the product is quite young, the last time I checked it was really painfull to install and configure, (I don’t even speak of extending it since it’s written in python). Trac or not Trac, the idea it here. Too bad I missed the step of involving enough time to develop it.
I’ll try it whenever I’ll have time…
